What is your process?
- Top copywriting starts with research. I gather as much information as possible on your product and the market before I begin to write. You will be provided with a checklist to streamline this process.
- I spend a lot of time studying the research to access the best way to present your product.
- An outline is created and the first of several drafts is written.
- The copy is submitted to you for approval.
- Revisions are made until you accept it.
- Subsequent revisions may be requested within 30 days of acceptance providing the original assignment has not changed.
- On jobs involving a royalty or commission I will make further suggestions and improvements at no additional cost.
Do you do the work yourself or outsource?
Your project will remain totally in-house. I do not outsource or use junior writers.
I have a tight deadline to meet. Can you start on my project right away?
Ask. If your project does not jeopardize the deadline of another client whose work is already scheduled then it may be possible. Also, you need to allow adequate time for research since it is the basis for successful copy.
What are your rates?
Jobs are quoted on an individual basis. Fees are determined by the size of your project and the research needed to create an effective piece.
What is your turnaround time?
This is also determined by the scope of your project and current bookings. Small projects usually take 1-3 weeks and larger full packages may take 4-6 weeks. A timeframe can be determined after we discuss your project.
What if I want to make revisions?
Simply let me know what changes or improvements you want within 30 days of receiving your copy. Please be specific. There is no charge for these revisions as long as they are not based on a change of the agreed assignment after the copy was submitted. Changes in the assignment after the copy is submitted are invoiced at $50/hr.
Can we work together if we live in different parts of the country?
Absolutely. Thanks to the internet, the postal system, and couriers life FedEx it is easy to work together.
